jRCS Account Logins

jRCS originally allowed users to only log into the home directories of their respective accounts. An optional parameter is now provided to the Open function of the JConnection object to enable logins into alternate accounts. If the account parameter is specified, after jRCS completes its user authentication step, it will perform the lookup of the alternate user account‟s home directory and change its current directory to that directory. The .jrcsrc or jrcsrc.cmd scripts will then be executed from this alternate account‟s home directory, and not from the user‟s directory.

It is recognized that the alternate account login may entail additional user lookups on UNIX and Windows NT. It is further recognized that the account password feature will not be utilized, i.e. the user will only be authenticated once.
