The jsh window always starts white on black.

There is a command line option '-z' to the jsh that allows the user to select the foreground and background colors

jsh [-z [Foreground [,background ] ]]

Colors can be (WHITE,YELLOW,MAGENTA,RED,CYAN,GREEN,BLUE,BLACK) with the defaults being BLUE foreground and WHITE background (i.e. jsh -z will be Blue on White). Alternatively, on Windows NT you can globally set the color and/or size using the Console setup from the Control Panel.
