jBASE itself does not actually reuire an MD file, and as such there is not one created by default. However if you load on jBASE will use this for PROCS and Qpointers for example, but you must enable it. To do this you must set environment variable called JEDIFILENAME_MD, before you start up the jsh, after this you must also run a utility called UpdateMd. The jsh must be in "jsh" mode in for PROCs to run. See the documentation jBASE Environment Reference for more information.
